Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 23, 2026

kcalendar records what you eat. That is health data, so this page states exactly what we store, who processes it and how you get it back or delete it.

What we collect

Account data. Your email address, and the name and avatar you choose. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth.

Nutrition data. Meals, meal times, entry types (meal, workout, supplement), ingredients, portion sizes, macros, daily goals and recipes you save. This is health-related data about you.

Meal photos. Images you upload, plus the thumbnails generated from them.

Billing data. If you subscribe, Stripe holds your payment details. We store only your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, subscription status and current period end. We never see or store card numbers.

Product and diagnostic data. Usage events tied to your account (for example: first meal logged, subscription started), AI usage counts, and error reports.

How we use it

To run the service: store and display your meals, estimate macros, produce insights, enforce plan limits, and process your subscription.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use your meals, photos or nutrition data for advertising or for training our own models.

Who processes your data

Supabase hosts the database, authentication and file storage.

Cloudflare serves the application and stores uploaded images.

Stripe processes payments and subscriptions.

Google (Gemini) and OpenAI receive the meal photo or food description you ask us to analyse, so they can return a macro estimate. They act as processors for that request and we do not send them your account identity.

Open Food Facts and USDA FoodData Central receive the food search terms you type when you look up a product. They do not receive your account identity.

Sentry receives error diagnostics.

Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, meals, meal components, macros, recipes, photos, reminder preferences and product events are deleted along with it.

Billing records that Stripe is legally required to retain stay with Stripe under their own retention rules.

Your rights

Access and portability. Pro subscribers can export every meal they have logged as CSV from Settings. On any plan, including the free plan, you can request a copy of your data from the address below and we will send it to you.

Erasure. Delete your account from Settings. This cancels any active subscription and removes your data. It cannot be undone.

Correction and objection. Edit any meal or macro directly in the app, or write to us at the address below.
